I didn’t come to this work through retail. I came to it through nursing — through years of paying attention to what keeps people safe, what makes life better, and what actually holds up under real‑world use. That background shaped how I see everything: details matter, quality matters, and the things we bring into our homes should make life easier, not more complicated.

I grew up around people who believed in buying well‑made things so they only had to buy once. My parents were children of the Great Depression, when waste wasn’t an option. As adults, they saved for the best version of whatever they needed. My stepfather, George, was raised dirt poor, and to him, quality wasn’t about status — it was about sense. If you invest well, you invest once. His practicality is baked into Evergreen’s standards.

My team selects outdoor products with intention and a commitment to what works — well‑built systems, beautiful design, and solutions that earn their place in your life. This is living the way our parents and grandparents understood it: buy what’s built to last, what’s chosen with care, and what’s made to be lived with for years.
